LUIS BAÓN IS BORN IN BARCELONA AND BASED IN MADRID. HE IS A SPECIALIST IN EXECUTIVE SEARCH AND TALENT ASSESSMENT & MANAGEMENT. HE HAS A LARGE EXPERIENCE TOO IN FINANCIAL SERVICES, PRIVATE EQUITY, INDUSTRIAL AND CONSUMER SECTORS.
Prior to founding Baón Partners, he worked for 15 years at Egon Zehnder as Partner responsible for the Private Equity, Financial Services, Industrial and Consumer Practices for Spain. Previously Luis was Director of Corporate Development and Strategy at Bergé Group and CFO of Bergé’s PV cell and module producer, Isofotón, owned by Artá Capital.
Luis started his professional career at Merrill Lynch, where he worked in the Equity Capital Markets division in New York, London and Madrid for almost 9 years.
Luis Baón Martinez holds a degree in Business Administration from ICADE and an Executive MBA from IESE.
He is a passionate Ironman competitor, but also enjoys playing golf, skiing and cooking for his extended family of 7 children, putting into practice his title of Certified Chef in Spanish Cuisine from the Le Cordon Bleu school.
For his work in coaching executives, Luis has been appointed as a member of the Coaching Institute at Harvard University / USA.
